When the City of Markham sold their old theatre to FLATO Developments, they didn't know what name would be associated with it. But when you walk into this building now known as "The Flato", everything is different and better than before. The city-owned theatre has been renamed the FLATO Markham Theatre since 2012 when an Ontario based real estate developer acquired it.

The Flato Markham Theatre is conveniently located at Highway 7 and Warden Avenue. The newly renovated venue provides the ideal dynamic setting for live performances, products/services presentations or media launches with its spacious hall that can accommodate up to 500 people seated and 1000 on a separate floor reserved only for standing room tickets.
